The Rural Education Facility is Taosphere’s largest and most long term goal. Our first rural facility is to be called Witenagemot in honor of the online community that we have built.
Witenagemot will be located in Southern British Columbia between the Coast and Rocky mountain ranges. It will be a combination of University and resort. We will be hosting an annual event for the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) as well as an annual martial arts event. We will have a paintball facility and a large play ground for adults including tree houses and zip lines and all of the crazy things we are apparently too old to enjoy.
The University will be devoted to the study of metaphysics, religions and philosophy in addition to the study of alternative models of social structure. Also many of us plan to work in depth with some weird science experiments involving attempts at perpetual motion, Tesla experiments, alternative energies and anything else that strikes members fancy.
A number of ideas have been put forth over time that may be included in the facility but those will be discussed elsewhere.
